Cambodia
Cambodia, with a population of 12 million and bordered by Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and the South China Sea, has become a top destination in Southeast Asia for many travelers. . Phnom Penh is the location of the genocide of 2 million people by Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge from 1975-1979, however, no one was ever tried for the holocaust and all the killers remained free in Cambodia. Pol Pot died a natural death in 1998. Most visitors to Cambodia head for the stunning Angkor ruins, a collection of over one hundred temples dating back to the ninth century.
